ROW, GENTLY... Along the Stream

Life, like art, can be an ongoing experience of discoveries, progressing… arrivals and departures.

There's beauty in the seemingly simple act of rowing a boat... a gentle pull, a momentary pause, a forward motion.

While it may be that our physical destinations are determinable, our spiritual destinations seem to be determined by something more than our will…in both, there is great peace to be found in pulling up the oars and letting the current move us along… afterall, life is but a dream.

ROW, GENTLY… is a small-scale, tabletop sculpture, a curio piece in THE LOVE LADDER Collection which I like to call “curiosities”. This sweet boat is a metaphor… conjuring a vessel that will carry us on our journey… within it, a ladder.

Crafted in fine detail, ROW, GENTLY’s ladder is nestled within the embrace of the boat.  At first glance, the rungs appear to be little benches in the hull, held by the two oars on either side.

Receive and welcome the invitation for your soul to take a seat here, to sit inside… you’ve embarked on a journey on the river of life. There is a call to pause and ponder the rhythm of life's ebb and flow.

This peace-filled curiosity rests and remains still when placed upon your mantel, coffee table, or bedstand… allowing your imagination to carry you away… coursing through the waters of life… whether ripples or waves… logging seafaring tales of discovery… you are on a voyage of love.
